The Swampscott High School Robotics Team’s main focus is on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and collaboration. Our after school organization is geared towards helping young minds to develop their business leadership, communication skills and strong self confidence by inspiring young people to be science and technology leaders in the near future. As part of the district wide STEM Initiative, Swampscott High School began the Robotics Team during the 2011-2012 school year.

The SHS Robotics Team annually participates in an international program run by a nonforprofit known as FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Our team, #4311, is one of thousands that compete in their competition.

FIRST allows students to work alongside mentors from the engineering and science fields while learning to use industry standard tools, equipment and software. Over $15 million dollars in scholarships are available annually to students involved in FIRST.

Competing in robotics competitions requires funding. Our annual team budget is $15,000. These funds will allow our team the chance to compete in district events and qualify for the Boston Championship event. There is no line item in the Swampscott Public Schools District budget to support this out-of-school time club; therefore we need to seek sponsorships.

Sponsorship Levels

Bronze: $300-$999

The Bronze Sponsorship will be recognized with the patron company's logo on the team shirt, website, and by mention in all press coverage of the team.

Silver: $1000-$2999

The Silver Sponsorship will be recognized with the patron company's logo on the team shirts, website, and by mention in all press coverage of the team. Additionally, the patron company's logo will be placed in a visible location on the competition robot.

Gold: $3000+

The Gold Sponsorship will be recognized with the patron company's logo on the team shirts, website, and by mention in all press coverage of the team. A company logo will be placed on the competition robot, and additionally, the company will receive a custom Thank-You video from the team.
